THE PRONAOS
The PRONAOS, or Temple Gateway, is the entry level of The Lonely Temple study and developmental path.
In the Classical World, the Pronaos was the Gateway or Porch lined with steps and columns that provided the entrance for a Holy Temple. The spiritual seekers and acolytes would gather before the Temple to receive the teachings and blessings of the Priest, and perhaps catch a tantalising glimpse of the Deity concealed behind the doors, deep within.
All true Journeys begin at night, with the first step. As soon as you purchase your first TLT Course, you become an Entrant of the Pronaos, the Gateway, where you learn the essential aspects of the Arcane Path. The first Grade is that of the Seeker - Visitors to the Temple are welcome onto any of these Courses. The second Grade is the Energy Worker, which is for committed Members only. The third Grade is the Thresholder who has learned enough to pass fully into The Lonely Temple.

Reduced Course Fees
Entrant Members pay their Annual Fee which covers their Membership of the Temple, and access to all Introductory Courses for up to a 60% reduction in price with the Monthly Subscription. Our Courses include teaching documents, lectures, a personalised study plan, rituals and exercises, and access to rare occult techniques and lesser known esoteric information.
Online Tuition & Certification
Each of The Lonely Temple Pronaos Courses is supported by a Monthly Online Tutorial for all students, conducted by one of our expert contributors, with an extra Online Pronaos Meeting (March and September, Members only) for all Seekers, Energy Workers and Thresholders to meet, connect, hear lectures from the founders, and study together. A Certificate of Merit is available at the end of each Course for €45.
Community & Continuity
The Lonely Temple encourages community and social continuity between all its Members. Learning the esoteric way should be joyful as well as meaningful! We are able to assist in the formation of local Study Circles for Seekers, Energy Workers or Thresholders on the same Courses who wish to study together. We will also organise The Lonely Temple events and workshops in the near future, with priority tickets available for all Members.

Seeking The Way

The Path of the Arcane Wisdom - the Wisdom of All Ages - starts within. This Course teaches the Seeker the essential elements of the Mystical Life, using field-tested techniques and exercises which provide a safe Opening of the Inner Way. Visitors welcome.
Psychic Protection

Beyond the visible world are the realms of the Half-Seen and the Unseen; not everything in the spiritual world is beneficial. The Seeker must arm themselves with effective forms of Psychic Protection, to repel all forms of negativity and proceed along the Inner Way in perfect peace and safety. Visitors welcome.
Finding The Way

The Seeker by their very nature must seek, and in seeking, discover. In this Course, the various aspects of the Inner Way are explored in detail, and further techniques are given to further empower the Seeker in their Eternal Quest. Visitors welcome.
Grade Two: ENERGY WORKERS

Purifying Our Radiance

The Energy Worker must perceive the radiant conditions of the Auric Field, and learn to cleanse and purify that Field for health and clarity. This Course explores the Mysteries of the Circumradiant Field, its composition, extent and operation.
Human Constitution

The Energy Worker must have a clear comprehension of the Human Constitution and its tripartite composition of Body, Soul and Spirit. This Course introduces the secret teachings of the Temple on the subject.
The Living Elements

The Energy Worker must learn to perceive the mysterious qualities of the Aether or Prana, and the Four Elements of the Wise which are generated thereby. This Course unfolds the secret teachings of the Temple on the fourfold composition of the Natural Forces.
The Psychic Revelation

The Energy Worker is rewarded for their diligence and practical efforts when they experience what the Temple terms the Psychic Revelation: the realisation of the energetic and mental nature of Reality, and the various methods which may be employed to influence it.
Grade Three: THRESHOLDERS

The Reflecting Medium

The Thresholder must move on from the denser energies of the Elements to that of the mental and imaginal fields: the great region of visual and metamorphic light which Eliphas Levi termed the Reflecting Medium, and the Astral Light - the Light of thought, dream, vision and nightmare.
Symbolic Thresholds I

The Thresholder must master the ritual forms of the Temple, which give them the power to Invoke and Banish the Forces of Nature with forensic precision, allowing them to develop their Subtle Bodies in a safe and graduated manner.
Symbolic Thresholds II

The Thresholder must study under the Temple to learn the hidden nature of Spirits, Entities and other denizens of the Half-Seen and Unseen Realms. There are laws and rules of interaction which they must understand correctly, without error, fear, or superstition.
Beyond The Thresholds

The Thresholder now takes the final step across the Threshold of the Pronaos, by penetrating into the vastness of the Astral Plane: the Realm of the Endless. Their previous experience of Energy Works has granted them the ability to unlock various forms of psychic perception.

PRONAOS ONLINE TUITION
Making Connections
Online Tuition is provided by our Contributors to support the study and practice of our new Members of the Pronaos. Visitors can join the Temple Works for the Seekers Grade. The Courses are designed for every Member's individual pace of study, but we recommend 4 months per Course. The following Online Sessions are included for each of the Three Grades of the Pronaos.
SEEKER'S SESSIONS
Monthly, 1-2 hours - Guidance, support, Q&A and discussion for all Seekers Courses. Seeker Sessions will focus on grounding, stabilising the spiritual focus, ensuring correct techniques for psychic protection and energetic maintenance, and attuning to the culture of our Temple. Seekers who wish to remain as subscribing members of The Lonely Temple after completing their Courses may continue to attend.
ENERGY WORKER'S SESSIONS
Monthly, 1-2 hours - Guidance, support, Q&A and discussion for all Energy Workers' Courses. Energy Worker Sessions will focus on the development and strengthening of the Energy Body, the correct methods of Invocation and Banishing various Forces, and the exploration of the core teachings of the Arcane Traditions of the Temple, including ritual techniques. Energy Workers who wish to remain as subscribing members of The Lonely Temple after completing their Courses may continue to attend.
THRESHOLDER'S SESSIONS
Monthly, 1-2 hours - Guidance, support, Q&A and discussion for all Thresholders' Courses. Thresholder Sessions will focus on the opening of the inner faculties, the esoteric nature of the Cosmos, and the timely exploration of the Subtle Planes and the realms of the psychic and the paranormal. Thresholders who wish to remain as subscribing members of The Lonely Temple after completing their Courses may continue to attend.
PRONAOS FORUM
March & September.
The Pronaos is a collective meeting, with a formal opening, where Seekers, Energy Workers and Thresholders can meet together online. We will present Lectures, conduct Group meditations with all Members of the Pronaos. The Forum explores the beauty and mystery of the Subtle Planes together.
